_ 8 Day Uganda Gorillas Chimps Wildlife

Highlights

This eight-day safari starts and ends in Kampala, Uganda, and takes you through the western portion of the nation, which is rich in animals and stunning scenery. The main destinations on this safari are Lake Mburo National Park, which covers 371 square kilometers and is home to a large number of Zebras as well as other animals such as antelopes, warthogs, buffaloes, oribis, and other animals seen along the lake’s shores such as hippos, crocodiles, and birds (park has over 332 bird species).

Itenary

Day 1: Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park (Wildlife Observation).

    Our driver-guide will pick you up at 7:00 a.m. in Kampala and drive you west of the country to Lake Mburo National Park, with stops at Mpambire, a drum-making site, and the Equator for photos. When you arrive at the park, eat lunch at the lodge and then go on a game drive across the park to see different species such as the zebras that can be seen virtually everywhere. Later that evening, return to the lodge for dinner and a night’s stay.

Day 2 : Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will go on a gorilla safari.

    After breakfast, go for the Southwestern section of Bwindi Forest at 6:30 a.m., passing via Mbarara town, which is blessed with lovely vistas, as well as diverse rolling hills with terraces; it is such a wonderful drive with all these beauties. When you get to the park, check into the lodge of your choice and rest for the evening as you prepare for the next adventure. It’s a great place to eat and stay the night.

Day 3 : Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Mountain Gorilla Trekking & Community Walk.

    Breakfast will be served at 6:30 a.m., followed by a transfer to the park headquarters, where you will be briefed by expert park rangers. The park rangers will accompany you into the mist forest to trek mountain gorillas at 8:00 a.m. If you are not physically healthy enough, you may need a walking stick. Consider hiring potters to carry your luggage if you have any at a nominal fee for their services. Trekking can take anything from 2 to 8 hours, but you only have one hour once you see and interact with the gorillas. Return to the lodge to relax after your trek, and later in the evening, take a tour through other communities, such as the Batwa community, where you will interact with them and learn a lot before retiring to the resort.

Day 4 : Take the Ishasha sector to Queen Elizabeth.

    After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing via the Ishasha area, where tree-climbing lions live. Elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, lions, and other wildlife species can be seen in the park. When you arrive, enjoy lunch at the lodge and then embark on a late afternoon game drive to see the above animals and many others as well as birds. Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay..

Day 5 : Kazinga Channel game drive and boat cruise.

    You must be extremely early today because you will have breakfast at 6:00 a.m. and then immediately begin your game drive. You must be early because you will be able to observe the morning risers such as lions, solitary buffaloes, kobs, elephants, and so on. It’s really a fun and exciting time because you can view these animals up close and personal. Later, return to the resort for lunch before embarking on an afternoon boat trip on the Kazinga channel, which is home to a variety of species including birds such as malachite kingfishers and pink-backed pelicans, as well as mammals like as crocodiles, elephants, hippos, and more. Basically, cruising on the Kazinga is one of the park’s most visually appealing pastimes. Return to the lodge for dinner and a night’s stay.

Day 6 : Morning wildlife drive, baboon cliff visit, then departure to Kibale.

    Enjoy a delicious breakfast and a morning wildlife drive, as well as a visit to the baboon cliffs, where you will be introduced to breathtaking scenery. After lunch, depart for Kibale Forest National Park, which is home to Chimpanzees; the travel will take roughly 2 to 3 hours. Arrive in the evening for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7 : Chimpanzee hiking and a wetland trip in Bigodi.

    Have breakfast early enough, then depart the resort with adequate bottled drinking water for the park headquarters, where you will be briefed on chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing, set out on a journey through the forest with an armed park ranger at 8:00 a.m. Nothing compares to spending time with chimps in their natural habitat. Other primates you’ll encounter are golden monkeys, grey checked Mangabeys, LHoests monkeys, and bush-babies, among others, as well as a variety of birds. After trekking, return to the resort for lunch and an afternoon walk through the Bigodi Wetland. You will meet a variety of individuals while staying there, as well as view various birds such as the Great Blue Turaco and other primates such as bush pigs, otters, and baboons.

Day 8 : Arrive in Kampala.

    After a hearty breakfast, depart the park and travel to Kampala through Mubende, where you’ll be in line to enjoy the area’s wonderful picturesque views. You’ll stop for lunch in Mubende before continuing on to Kampala. Your driver-guide will either drop you off at your Kampala lodging facility or drive you to Entebbe Airport in case you need to catch a flight back home.
