5 Day Masai Mara Nakuru Naivasha


This tour will take you to Kenya’s three most popular tourist destinations; the Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Lake Naivasha. The “Big Five” (elephants, lions, leopards, rhinos, and buffalo) live in Masai Mara, as well as zebras, antelope, hyenas, giraffes, and African lions, including the black-maned lion. The largest draw to Lake Nakuru is undoubtedly its massive flamingo population, which can reach 1.5 million at times. Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake located just north-west of Nairobi, Kenya.


Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara: Masai Mara afternoon game drives

    Your safari will begin with a pickup from your Nairobi hotel. Depending on where you are picked up, your day will start around 7:30 a.m. The journey to the Maasai Mara, the day’s destination, will take approximately 6 hours. You’ll make a brief stop at a viewpoint along the way to see the rift valley’s great depression. By noon, you’ll be in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, just in time for a delicious lunch. You’ll go on a short game drive in the afternoon. When you return from your game drive, you’ll find a freshly prepared dinner waiting for you. Enjoy a restful night’s sleep in your chosen lodging, as you will be exploring the park extensively tomorrow.

Day 2 : Masai Mara: Full-day Masai Mara game drives.

    After an early breakfast, you’ll leave at 8 a.m. for a full-day game drive. The famous Big 5 (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), as well as wildebeest, giraffe, hippo, and ferocious crocodiles near the Mara river which call the 1510-square-kilometer park home. You might even witness a kill if you’re lucky. Numerous predators are attracted to the abundant resident population of zebras, impalas, gazelles, ostriches, and topis, making for an exciting game viewing experience. During the game drive, you’ll have a picnic lunch inside the park. By 5 p.m., the full-day game drive will come to a close, followed by a delicious dinner. Day 3 : Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha: Short game drive through Masai Mara.

    After a hearty breakfast, you’ll go on a short morning game drive in Masai Mara. Later, you’ll travel to Lake Naivasha, the day’s destination. The drive from Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha takes about 5 hours, and you’ll stop for lunch along the way. You will check in and rest at the hotel after arriving late in the afternoon at Lake Naivasha accommodation.

Day 4 : Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru: Crescent Island Boat Ride and Hike.

    Lake Naivasha is Kenya’s highest freshwater lake, standing at 1880 meters above sea level. After arriving at the lake in the afternoon, you will take a boat ride to Crescent Island and enjoy a relaxing nature walk there. Animals such as giraffes, buffaloes, colobus monkeys, waterbucks, elands, and impalas abound in the area. The region is home to over 200 different bird species, making it a fascinating place to visit. Return to your hotel for lunch before continuing to your Lake Nakuru National Park lodging.

Day 5 : Nairobi to Lake Nakuru: Game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park.

    The final day begins with breakfast and concludes with a half-day game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park. Thousands of flamingos can be seen nesting along the shores throughout the year, depending on the season. The sight of the shore turning pink is a visual delight. Several antelope species, as well as other protected species such as the Colobus monkey and rhinos, can be seen during the short game drive. Then you’ll leave for Nairobi, stopping for lunch along the way. This is the final leg of your safari, with a three-hour drive to Nairobi remaining. By the afternoon, you will be dropped off at your preferred location in Nairobi. This is the time to say your goodbyes to your team after an incredible experience and a lifetime of memories.
