Day 1:Entebbe Arrival
You will be picked up and driven to your Hotel. You will check in and settle up for the night when you arrive. Our lead guide and a representative will meet you during your meal. You’ll be briefed about the trip to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will learn more about your gorilla tracking experience and be able to ask more questions during this session. You’ll sleep for the night after the briefing.
Day 2: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, check out and go to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via vehicle. This area of rural Uganda in the south has a large number of visitors. Dian Fossey, for example, referred to it as her “second home.” You’ll stop at Mbarara for lunch and a cup of steaming coffee before continuing on to Kabale or Kisoro Town. When you arrive in Bwindi, check into the Clouds Mountain Gorilla Lodge, eat dinner, and retire for the evening.
Day 3: Gorilla Habituation Program
Your excursion into the gorilla sanctuary begins after early morning breakfast. There are just about 900 of these magnificent creatures left on the planet. Arrive early for registration and a briefing on the trek’s rules. Later, you’ll join the study team for a full day of habituation in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, one of Africa’s most fascinating corners. As you watch and photograph these magnificent creatures, you may share the experience via your camera lenses. You’ll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay after this adventure.
Day 4: Mgahinga National Park
An early morning wake-up call, a quick hot cup, and you’re out on your final Uganda safari excursion. This leg of your journey from the resort to Mgahinga National Park will take around 1 hour. You’ll be greeted by a park ranger when you arrive at the briefing location, and you’ll be escorted into the forest with your packed lunch and a bottle of water. Golden monkey trekking starts at 08.30 a.m., and once you’ve located them, you’ll spend an hour with these lovely creatures who live in large groups and are highly playful. Return to the briefing point to obtain your certificate and then check into your lodge. After a complimentary massage and a guided stroll around the community, the afternoon is yours to plan.
Day 5: Road transfer to Kigali, Rwanda
After a sumptuous breakfast, you’ll check out and bid Africa farewell. You will be driven to Rwanda’s Kigali International Airport through Musanze town. After a self-guided tour of Dian Fossey’s Karisimbi research station in Musanze, you’ll have a hot lunch at a local restaurant. After that, drive to Kigali in order to catch your flight home. This is the last day of your journey with us.
