Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park (417km)

After breakfast, you will depart Kampala and travel west through Uganda’s beautiful green countryside to the Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey will take 6-7 hours, with stops at tourist attractions such as the Royal Drum Makers’ Village and the Equator, where you can stand in both hemispheres at once. You’ll continue through savannah grasslands with banana plantations and several herds of endemic to this part of the country long-horned Ankole cattle. You’ll arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park in the evening, check into your lodge, and then go on an evening game drive, which is an incredible opportunity to see animals in their natural habitats. Elephants, buffalos, lions, bushbucks, kobs, giant forest hogs, hyenas, leopards, antelopes, and waterbucks, as well as birds, can all be seen. You will return to Engiri Game Lodge/Bush Lodge for dinner and overnight (Mid Range).

Day 2: Game Drive and Boat Cruise

You’ll leave early (around 6.30 a.m.) for your second game drive, to the Ishasha Sector, home to the famous tree climbing lions, which is a fascinating experience for many tourists. Queen National Park’s diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forests, rivers, swamps, lakes, and volcanic craters is a home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. You’ll return for breakfast and relax until lunch. In the afternoon, go on a launch cruise along the amazing Kazinga channel to see water animals such as hippos, buffalos, crocodiles, and elephants bathing on the channel banks up close. On the water’s edge, there are a variety of bird species, including the famous Shoebill, Pelican, and Jacana. Engiri Game Lodge/Bush Lodge will host dinner and overnight (Mid Range).
