Murchison Falls is a Nile Valley waterfall. The Nile forces its way through a 7-meter-wide gap in the rocks at the top of Murchison Falls, tumbles 43 meters, and then flows westward into Lake Albert. Murchison is home to the famous African big four (lion, leopard, elephant, and Cape buffalo), and you’ll visit the last of the white rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to complete the African BIG 5 game animals.
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison via the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
After breakfast, depart at 7 a.m. and travel north through the districts of Luweero and Masindi, passing through traditional farms and villages before stopping at the Ziwa Ranch Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Proceed to Masindi town for lunch and refueling before continuing to Murchison Falls National Park. Go straight to the top and bottom of the magnificent falls, where the Nile crashes through a 7-meter-deep gorge to a 45-meter-high drop. On this Murchison Falls safari, there are numerous scenic viewpoints for photographers to enjoy. The foaming waters rushing into the gorge with a deafening roar is the most impressive sight. You’ll return to Red Chilli Rest Camp/Parkside Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: In the Peninsula, go on a game drive.
At 06:30 a.m., a delectable breakfast is served. After that, we go on an early game drive in the Buligi Circuit, which is located between Lake Victoria and Lake Albert Nile. In the wilds of Murchison Falls, you’ll find the highest concentration of animals. With the Ferry, cross to the Northern bank and prepare for an early morning game drive. Elephants, lions, giraffes, buffalos, and rare hyenas will all be spotted with the help of your guide. After that, return for lunch and unwind for a few minutes. After that, take a breathtaking boat ride to the base of the magnificent Murchison Falls, one of the world’s most powerful natural waterfalls. Crocodiles, hippos, and spectacular birdlife, including the rare shoebill stork, can all be found here. Return to the Windsor Hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Travel back to Kampala after visiting the top of the falls.
After breakfast, we will drive to the “top of the thunderous Murchison Falls,” where you will be treated to a spectacular view before continuing on to Kampala, where you will have lunch en route, and then on to Entebbe, where you will board your flight home with a memorable experience from the Great Murchison Falls.
