11 Day Uganda Primate Wildlife Adventure


This 11-day safari takes you to Kibale National Park to track chimps and other primates, as well as Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is known for its diverse wildlife and birdlife. This Safari also includes a visit to the breathtakingly beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, where you may have the opportunity to see gorillas in Bwindi. The safari will come to a close in Jinja with a Nile River boat cruise. Join us on a journey through Africa!


Day 1: Uganda – Kampala

    Our guide will meet you at the airport and drive you to Forest Cottages in Kampala, where your driver/guide will give you a briefing on the safari before Day 2 Kampala – Kibale Forest National Park After breakfast, check out of the lodge and travel to Kibale Forest National Park, passing through the beautiful countryside of Fort Portal with traditional crafts. You’ll stop for lunch en route and arrive at Kibale Forest Camp (Safari tent) in the late afternoon, where you’ll check in, eat dinner, and spend the night.

Day 3: Kibale Forest National Park

    After breakfast, report to the Kanyanchu Tourist Centre for a briefing on chimp habituation rules. In East Africa, Kibale Forest National Park has the greatest variety and concentration of primates. The chimpanzee, a delightful ape, is the most well-known of its 13 species. You will have the opportunity to see a variety of other primates and animals, as well as birds and butterflies while tracking. You’ll return to camp for dinner and an overnight stay later that evening.

Day 4: Kibale Forest National Park – Queen Elizabeth National Park.

    After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, arriving in time for lunch at the Bush Lodge. Following lunch, embark on a 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This 42-kilometer channel connects Lake Edward and Lake George. This trip passes through an area with the highest concentration of hippo and provides excellent photographic, bird-watching, and game-viewing opportunities. With over 550 resident species, the abundant bird life is vibrant. Later that evening, you’ll return to Bush Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Game Drive

    After breakfast, drive to the Ishasha sector of the Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is known for its tree-climbing lions lounging in the tree branches while keeping a close eye on herds of Uganda kob, their favourite prey. Buffalo, elephants, and the rare shoebill can all be found in this area. In this part of the park, you’ll spend the day on a game drive before returning late in the afternoon to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth National Park – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park

    After breakfast, depart for Kagamba and then Ntungamo Town, where you will stop for lunch. After lunch, travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will check-in at the Broadbill Forest Camp (Safari Tent), eat dinner, and retire for the evening.

Day 7: Gorilla trekking

    Bwindi Impenetrable National Park In Bwindi, you will meet our cousins the Mountain Gorillas, the highlight of this Uganda Tour Safari. You’ll get up early for breakfast before heading to the Park headquarters to meet up with other trackers for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules. You and your guides will trek through thickets and undergrowth in search of the gorillas, which can take anywhere from 2 to 8 hours depending on the gorillas’ location in the impenetrable forest. You’ll have an hour with these intelligent, majestic, and gentle giants who share more than 90% of their genetic material with humans. Later, you’ll return to your Lodge for a relaxing evening, a delicious dinner, and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Lake Bunyonyi

    After breakfast, check out and travel to the Batwa cultural trail, where you will visit their villages, learn about their daily routines and activities, and be amazed by how they skillfully cultivate the hill sides and care for their prized animals. You’ll then travel to Lake Bunyonyi, where you’ll check in at the Birdnest Bunyonyi, eat lunch, and then go for a canoe ride on the lake. This lake is said to be one of western Uganda’s most beautiful spots. It is Africa’s second deepest lake and one of the few places in the country where swimming is considered safe. Terraced hills protrude from the water’s edge in the landscape surrounding the lake. To see the beautiful scenery of this part of the country, you can swim in the lake or hike to a viewpoint on the hills. You’ll return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay later that evening.

Day 9: Return to Kampala

    After breakfast, check out and depart for Kampala, with a stopover at the Equator, where you will be able to stand in both hemispheres at the same time and take some memorable photos. This journey will take 6-7 hours in total, with time for lunch along the way. In the evening, you will return to Kampala, where you will have dinner and spend the night at Forest Cottages.

Day 10: Kampala – Jinja

    After early morning breakfast, check out and depart for Jinja. You will visit the Nile’s source and participate in some of the exciting activities available, such as white water rafting, jet boating, horseback riding, mountain biking, quad biking, or bungee jumping. Along the way, you’ll see the magnificent Ssezibwa Waterfalls, which are thought to have been created by humans hundreds of years ago. The falls are one of the most spiritual and culturally significant places in the area, with many locals flocking there for wealth and fortune blessings. Another stop will be at Mabira Forest, which will be a photographer’s dream. This rainforest area in Uganda is about 300 square kilometres and is located between Lugazi and Jinja in the Buikwe District. You will check-in at Source of the Smile when you arrive in Jinja, where you will have dinner and rest for the night.

Day 11: Jinja – Entebbe

    After breakfast, depart for Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight home.
